Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Frosty the Snowman

You know Dasher, and Dancer, and
Prancer, and Vixen,
Comet, and Cupid, and
Donder and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of allRudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows. All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
play in any reindeer games. Then one foggy Christmas eve
Santa came to say:
“Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you’ll go down in history!

~Johnny Marks

[Verse 1]
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say
He was made of snow but the children know
How he came to life one day
There must have been some magic in
That old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around
Oh, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me[Chorus]
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Frosty go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of snow[Verse 2]
Ooh Frosty the snowman
Knew the sun was hot that day
So he said, “Let’s run and we’ll have some fun
Now before I melt away.”
Down to the village
With a broomstick in his hand
Running here and there all around the square
Saying “catch me if you can!”
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler “Stop!”
Oh, Frosty the snowman
Had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye, saying
“Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again someday.”~Walter “Jack” Rollins and Steve Nelson,

Some Christians think that stories and songs like “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman” are not Christian and not appropriate for Christmas. They think that because these songs or stories, as well as some of the others in the same vein, can’t be Christian because they don’t mention Jesus. But being a Christian is a lot more than just saying “Jesus” at every opportunity. It is also about teaching the things that Jesus taught. Let’s take a closer look. Some Quotes on Christmas

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ~Norman Vincent Peale

He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree. ~Roy L. Smith

I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. ~Charles Dickens

One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don’t clean it up too quickly. ~Andy Rooney

Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else besides ourselves. ~Eric Sevareid

Instead of being a time of unusual behavior, Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish. Christmas, in short, is about the only chance a man has to be himself. ~Francis C. Farley

Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love! ~Hamilton Wright Mabie
