I’m heading off to Reno today for the annual convocation. It will be rather busy in Reno this week with Burning Man going on this weekend and the annual hot air balloon races next weekend. As usual, I will set up some articles to auto-post while I’m away. I will also try to post some while I’m in Reno. The hotel I’m staying at does have free WI-FI which is rather unusual in Reno (although there are some bars, restaurants and coffee shops that have it).

It’s interesting that science broke off from religion centuries ago because the inflexible dogma of the major churches were suppressing scientific knowledge and preventing scientists from doing their work. Now science has become every bit as dogmatic and intolerant of scientific rebels who’s theories go outside the lines.

A record year for tornadoes, droughts, floods, and heat waves and a few earthquakes thrown in for good measure. And it’s only 2011, not 2012.

Understanding unity helps to solve humanity’s biggest challenges. There is no such thing as an isolated problem. By injuring any part of the world’s system, you injure yourself.” ~Za Rinpoche

So a republican finally admits that to them, corporations are people. They aren’t likely to go the next step and admit that to them corporations are more important people than those nasty biological ones that get old, sick and loose their jobs and start whining for government help when they could just become CEOs of a corporate person and earn 10 or 20 million a year.

Today is a day for all the world to come together in peace. For just one day, forget our differences; political, physical, religious, whatever, and remember that we are all people with, rights, desires and goals and just because someone else’s goals and desires don’t match yours, doesn’t make them inferior.

We really shouldn’t be surprised at the financial turmoil happening in the world these days. While we can point to political problems and decisions as immediate causes, we shouldn’t forget that, according to a number of prophecies, the failure of financial and political institutions is something to be expected in the End Times, which is now.

Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” ~Carl Jung

Some idiots in Florida stole a number of things including a GPS. The police traced the GPS to find the criminals and their stash of loot.

When stopped for a routine traffic violation, a guy tried to protect himself by giving a phony name. Unfortunately for him, it was the name of a wanted criminal.

A man in Maryland went up to the cashier in a convenience store and demanded money. Since the man didn’t seem to have any weapon to back up his demand, the cashier refused. The crook then grabbed some bananas off the store shelf and started throwing them at the cashier. The cashier then pulled out a knife and chased the crook out of the store.

A cook in New York got arrested for stealing lobster tails and stuffing them down his pants.

A drug smuggler tried to bring cocaine into the country by mixing it with plaster and forming it into religious statues.

Neighbors of a guy in Florida had no complaints about him despite a general knowledge that he was a drug dealer. But they were outraged when, after he was arrested, it was found that, while he was making thousands a month selling drugs, he was also collecting $900 a month in food stamps.

  Aren’t levees a fantastic invention? Now, instead of nature deciding what areas will be flooded and what areas will be spared, politicians get to make the choice. Isn’t that a wonderful improvement?

 A reminder that God isn’t the one causing the floods, tornadoes, etc.  It is our contnued refusal to live according to God’s law and follow God’s plan that is causing it.  And it will continue, and probably get worse, until we wake up.

The annual convocation in Reno this year will include this two day conference open to the public. The focus of the conference will be on healing sounds and vibrational therapy. One of the scheduled speakers is Joshua Leeds who I’m familiar with through his book “Through a Dog’s Ear”. Over the next few months, I will post information about the guest speakers.

The PAST is for evaluating and learning from its memories and lessons;
The PRESENT is for living in accordance with the constructive benefit of the
knowledge and experience gained in the past;
The FUTURE is for the charting of Life’s course into new directions, wherever
indications of possible improvement exist

Random Thoughts 5-22-2011

    I had another interesting syncronicity event this week. Somehow, I got thinking about the idea of Catholic priests being allowed to marry as one way to possible stop some of the sex abuse problems. I was thinking of a way that could allow marriage, but without really encouraging it. The idea I came up with was to allow priests to be married, but not bishops or higher. That way, priests who choose to marry would be giving up the possibility of being promoted to bishop one day. A few hours later, I was reading a novel, one dealing with mysteries from the bible, and the main character visited a friend in Addis Ababa, an Orthodox priest, to get some information from him and the novel said that this priest was married which meant that he could never be promoted to bishop in the Orthodox church. I was completely unaware of this rule already existing in any church.

 If your reading this, I can assume that you did not participate in the Rapture yesterday because it didn’t happen as planned by some. Since we can’t know when the Rapture will really occur, the best policy is to always be ready for it.

Another reminder that you can get my eBook on Amazon. It has over 600 posts from the first three years of this blog.

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to make more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is in reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want. “ ~Margaret Young
