I’m heading off to Reno today for the annual convocation. It will be rather busy in Reno this week with Burning Man going on this weekend and the annual hot air balloon races next weekend. As usual, I will set up some articles to auto-post while I’m away. I will also try to post some while I’m in Reno. The hotel I’m staying at does have free WI-FI which is rather unusual in Reno (although there are some bars, restaurants and coffee shops that have it).
It’s interesting that science broke off from religion centuries ago because the inflexible dogma of the major churches were suppressing scientific knowledge and preventing scientists from doing their work. Now science has become every bit as dogmatic and intolerant of scientific rebels who’s theories go outside the lines.
A record year for tornadoes, droughts, floods, and heat waves and a few earthquakes thrown in for good measure. And it’s only 2011, not 2012.
