Trick-or-Treat

The Donaldson twins, eight-year-old Joe and Jim, loved Halloween and loved to dress up in scary costumes. There friends Richy and Ted felt the same. So they were really ready for Halloween Trick-or-Treat this year.
When the big day arrived, they couldn’t wait to get going. They all got there costumes on early, made final adjustments to the makeup, and they all met shortly before six at Ted’s house because his big sister Joan was going to be their escort this year.
From Ted’s house, they headed up Walnut street and toward the Hampton Village area where people tended to be generous with the halloween candy. Of course, they stopped at the houses they passed on the way. Before the reached Hampton Village though, they discovered their little group had gained a new member: another kid their size in a fantastic werewolf costume. Richy, always the bold one, asked the new kid who he was. “I’m Dave”, he said, “Dave Randall”. “I just moved into this neighborhood and I don’t really know anyone yet. I hope you don’t mind if I stay with your group?” The kids all turned to Joan to see what she would say. She just shrugged her shoulders as if to say she couldn’t care one way or another. So Dave stayed with the group.
As they continued on into Hampton Village, then beyond to the new Fireside Townhouses, many people commented on their great costumes, especially Dave’s werewolf makeup. The other kids were impressed also and asked Dave about it. He promised to tell them later how he did it.
They looped back after Cranberry Lane, and headed down the other side of the street. They managed to get back to Walnut street just a few minutes before eight: the official end time for trick-or-treat. But when they tried to ask Dave which house was his, they found he was no longer with them. None of them noticed him leave, he just wasn’t there anymore! Jane said they must of passed his house already and he simply went home, so they didn’t worry about it and headed home themselves.
When Dave got home, his mother was waiting for him. She was very angry with him for going out on his own in a strange neighborhood. She was very worried that something would happen to him. He apologized to her for sneaking out but, he explained, he just couldn’t miss his once-a-year chance to go out trick-or-treating with other kids. And, while they all thought his werewolf makeup was fantastic, none of them suspected that he was a real werewolf.

Scripture:Mark 5:2-9

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God?  I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
For he said unto him, come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion, for we are many.

An appropriately scary tale of demonic possession for Halloween weekend.  The tale continues with Jesus driving the evil spirits out of the man and into a herd of swine, so apparently, Jesus approved of exorcism.

Merkaba, The Divine Light Vehicle

Several weeks ago, I ran into the word “merkaba” in a book I was reading.  I don’t recall which book it was, but I wrote down that word so I could look it up at a later time.  I have finally got around to doing that and what I found is very interesting.  Merkaba  is said to be: “the divine light vehicle allegedly used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realms.”  It is further described as a three dimentional star tetrahedron that consists of two tetrahedra of light with a common center.  This Light vehicle is supposed to make it possible to connect the phisical realm with the spiritual and to allow travel between the two, or at least to allow one in the physical realm to gain knowledge of the spiritual.
Others describe it as the chariot of God as described by Ezekiel with its wheels within wheels and four faces facing the four cardinal directions.  According to Wikipedia , study and speculation of the merkaba was restricted in the Talmud to the most advanced and worthy sages.
If you think about it, this sounds very much like the Sun or Righteousness as described by Malachi and frequently discussed on this blog: the new sun that will come in the end times to destroy evil and wickedness and save the righteous.

Psychic Communication in Hypnotism

Have you ever seen a comedy show in a club or on a cruise ship where a hypnotist gets people to do a lot of silly things?  I have seen a few.  I’ve seen a hypnotist get a young woman to fall madly in love with a rubber alien doll.   I’ve seen macho men turned into ballerinas.  I say a guy become obsessed with stealing the hypnotist’s balloons when he had his back turned.
One of the most fascinating tricks these hypnotists sometimes do on stage is telling two or more people that they are martians are only speak Martian and then instructing them to communicate with each other.  What happens is that each person starts talking in some made up language that is his idea of how a Martian would speak if there was such a thing as a Martian.  One persons version of the Martian is often very different from another’s yet, when they talk to each other, they seem to understand what the other one is saying.  Even the hypnotists find this fascinating, and they should.  What it indicates to me is that these people are actually communicating psychically on a subconscious level so the gibberish they are speaking doesn’t matter: they are actually communicating non-verbally.  And since almost everyone who is put in this situation by a hypnotist seems to communicate this way, it is a good indication that we all have the innate ability to communicate via direct mind-to-mind contact.
I don’t know if anyone has tried this, but I would like to see what would happen if the hypnotist told somebody he could speak in another language and the person really did start speaking in that language even though he didn’t know it before he got on stage.  That would be an entirely different type of psychic communication.
One thing a hypnotist can’t do is get someone to defy the laws of nature.  He can’t hypnotize someone into believing that he is a hot air balloon and he start floating around the room.  So therefore, when people under hypnosis are communicating psychically, they are doing something that is perfectly natural.
