I can’t believe the Christian groups that are complaining about the Gap ads again this year.  Last year they complained because the Gap didn’t mention Christmas in its advertising.  This year they do, but the Christian groups are complaining because they mention other religious holidays of the season with the line: “Go Christmas!, Go Hanukkah!, Go Kwanzaa!, Go Solstice!”.  There seems to be no pleasing these chronic complainers.

An interesting coincidence(?) I read about this week:  The Mayan calendar, the primary source of 2012 predictions, uses a long count called a Baktun and it is the cycle of 13 Baktuns that ends in December, 2012.  The Baktun is 144, 000 days and the number of people who will be saved in the rapture according to the Book of Revelation is 144,000.

The International Community of Christ has a new Cosolargy blog.  Take a look.

Make a gift of your life and lift all mankind by being kind, considerate, forgiving, and compassionate at all times, in all places, and under all conditions, with everyone as well as yourself. This is the greatest gift anyone can give.

A guy got caught with 1700 pounds of pot in his car.  He thought he could hide the scent by putting some limes in his car.  The police dogs were not fooled.

A criminal, about to be sentenced by a judge, couldn’t take the judge’s long-winded speech and told the judge to “get on with it”.  He got sentenced to 41 years.

A purse snatcher grabbed a womans purse and ran off with it.  Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t a purse.  It was a diaper  bag full of dirty diapers.
