Scripture: The Gospel of Truth

Truth appeared: all its emanations knew it.  They greeted the Father in truth with a perfect power that joins them with the Father.  For, as for everyone who loves the truth–because the truth is the mouth of the Father;his tongue is the Holy Spirit–he who is joined to the truth is joined to the Father’s mouth by his tongue, whenever he is to receive the Holy Spirit, since this is the manifestation of the Father and his revelation to his aeons.

If you want to know truth, speak to God.  God knows the truth in all matters–no speculation, no theories, He knows.  And those of us who learn God’s truth, and share it with others are doing the work of God and the Beings of Light and will receive the Holy Spirit.

Sunlight

The sun is a great source of energy.  The physical sun gives our physical bodies energy directly or indirectly through the food we eat.  The spiritual Sun does the same thing for our spirit and soul.  In fact, without the light of the spiritual sun, our soul would not get the energy it needs to grow.  So we need sunlight from both the spiritual sun and the physical sun.
For the past fifteen or twenty years, doctors have been advising people to hide from the sun because it will make them age rapidly and get skin cancer.  In the past five years though, many are changing their minds as new studies show that this philosophy is causing, or making worse, many health problems such as SAD, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure.  Moderate exposure to sunlight is good for our physical body and moderate exposure to spiritual sunlight is good for the soul.  Fortunately, the spiritual light travels with the physical light of the sun.  Unfortunately, most of us do not know how to attune ourselfs to the frequencies of spiritual light so we are able to absorb it.  That is where a spiritual teacher is needed.

A Special Place

It is often helpful for spiritual development to set aside a specific area in your home for spiritual work just as you have a specific place for eating and a specific place for sleeping.  It can be an entire room, or just part of a room.  You can decorate it in your favorite spiritual colors.  You can have a small alter in the area.  You can have a collection of spiritual books and inspirational music.  You can hang pictures of your favorite saints, holy persons, spiritual teachers or spiritual symbols.  A live plant or live flowers is a good additional touch.   Go to this spot when you want to do spiritual studies, pray, heal, meditate, or contemplate.
Of course, outdoor areas are good also and, if you have a large garden, you can also set up a special spot there when you want to do your spiritual work outdoors.

Spiritual Symbols: Rainbow

While the rainbow has become a symbol of gays in the social world, it’s symbology in the spiritual world is different.  Primarily, the rainbow symbolizes transformation, specifically, spiritual transformation.  It can also represent higher forms of being, higher levels of consciousness, and the bridge between Heaven and Earth or between the material and the spiritual.  It can also symbolize, in some areas, a serpent that drinks from the sea.  In parts of Africa, the rainbow is a symbol of the celestial serpent that is a guardian of heavenly treasures.  It can represent the energy centers (chakras).  In Hinduism, the “rainbow body” is the highest yogic state of being in the material world (samsara).  Of course, we have all heard of following the rainbow to get the treasure, or pot of gold at the end.  This refers to wakening and energizing all the energy centers to achieve the great treasure of spiritual enlightenment.
There is also the rainbow that appeared to Noah as a promise from God that the world would not be destroyed by flood again.
Last century, a Cree wise woman foretold a future when the white mans greed would cause great destruction on the planet and the “keepers of legends” wold be called upon to bring the world back into balance.  These people were titled “Worriers of the Rainbow”.  The Hopi, Sioux and Cherokee have a similar prophecy.
The Indalo is an ancient symbol found painted in a cave in Spain.  It shows a stick-man holding a rainbow.  The people there consider it a symbol of good luck and sometimes paint it over the door.  Archaeologists believe it was probably a symbol of God in an ancient religion.
